¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ International Service
Procedures for International Project
1. The first step is to understand the question(s) you need to have answered. After
¡¡ receiving your request or project brief, ERC researchers will conduct a pre-survey to
¡¡ obtain some basic information related with the project.
2. The second step is to work with you to identify and outline the project objectives and
¡¡ develop the most appropriate research methodology to address your problem (e.g.
¡¡ define the size and source of the survey sample.) ERC's Account Manager will
¡¡ prepare a written proposal to outline project objectives, research methodology,
¡¡ sampling, timing, team member credentials and estimated cost.
3. The third step is to establish a formal Project Team at ERC after the Account
¡¡ Manager reaches an agreement with the client. ERC will make sure the team
¡¡ possesses the demanded knowledge and expertise determined during the pre-
¡¡ survey.
4. The fourth step is to implement the research project as planned together with the
¡¡ client. Usually, it starts with secondary information collection, which will cover
¡¡ relevant publications, annual books, statistics, databases both within and outside
¡¡ ERC. The primary information usually starts after the secondary information
¡¡ collection, to make sure the primary information collection methodology is
¡¡ appropriate. During this stage it is important to test survey design and modify
¡¡ questionnaires extensively through small local market survey for clarity and
¡¡ accuracy before they are implemented on a large scale.
5. The fifth step is to check the data collected and process it to product actionable
¡¡ figures.
6. The sixth step is to analyze the findings and data collected during the
¡¡ implementation stage. The Project Manager at ERC will finally prepare the reports
¡¡ together with his team members.
7. The seventh step is to pass internal QC. The Project Manager and his team need to
¡¡ present their findings to ERC QC Commission.
8. The eighth step is to present the research results. Written report is the most
¡¡ adopted approach for international research and consulting projects, although ERC
¡¡ guarantees both written and oral presentation can be delivered.
9. The last task for the project team is "Project Follow-up". The Project Team shall not
¡¡ be terminated within one month after delivery of the report. They have the obligation
¡¡ to answer questions to the client if any. |
